Does God Exist? – The Least Interesting Question Ever

Why are people always asking whether or not God exists? I’m tired of it. It is an unanswerable question. If there were empirical evidence, the evidenced entity would not be God, at least not in any recognizable sense. That’s why faith is central to religious belief.

The funny thing is, the question of God’s existence is not important in any normal sense of the word. God’s existence or nonexistence doesn’t change anything. For believers, God is a given, an axiom. There is no need for proof. It’s not like any religious text starts off by proving God’s existence. That’s not what any religion is about. For nonbelievers, there is no God and there’s no argument that will change their minds.

So, the best thing to do is stop worrying about it. For believers, God exists. For nonbelievers, God does not exist. Whoop di do.
