Some Things I’ve Noticed About Candy

Chocolate candy is better frozen. It doesn’t matter what kind of chocolate bar it is. It could be straight chocolate or have other ingredients, like Snickers. It’s always better frozen.

Orange is the worst color for candy. Now, I’m not talking about the packaging. I mean the candy itself. If there’s an orange option, it is inferior. The one exception to that rule is Tootsie Pops. Orange Tootsie Pops are the best.

Ratios matter. It’s important when a candy changes sizes that the ratios between ingredients stay the same. Reese’s with extra peanut butter are less good than regular Reese’s.

It is better to go down than up. When a candy does change size, it is better smaller than larger. This is partly a function of the ratios, but it’s more than that. Across the board, king size bars are garbage. Minis are where its at.

Licorice is disgusting. I don’t have much to say except I don’t understand why it’s such a common candy flavor.

Speaking of disgusting, coconut ruins any candy it touches.

Harry Potter and Jelly Belly have combined to ruin jellybeans. No one wants the weird flavor jellybeans. It’s that simple.

Blue is a flavor.

Purple’s a fruit. (Homer Simpson technically noticed this one, but he’s right.)

Too much candy messes up ice cream.
