A Holiday Miracle

I didn’t have to work today. We had a snow day. That’s nice in and of itself, but not exactly miraculous. I’m in Connecticut. We get snow here and we get snow days here. The miraculous thing is that we got the snow day without getting any snow.

I’m looking out the window right now. The roads are clear. The grass is clear. The cars are clear. A snow day where I don’t even have to clean off my car. That’s unheard of.

Plus, it’s a snow day where I can easily go out and do things. That’s rare. Not only do I not have to clean my car, I don’t have to navigate poorly plowed roads. I can’t imagine a lot of other people got snow days, so I also don’t have to contend with a lot of other drivers.

Finally, today was supposed to be the day before winter break. That means I get an extra day tacked onto my already long vacation. 13 days instead of 12.

Although, I do have to say, I’m pretty bummed about the lack of snow. I love snow. And we’re definitely not going to have a white Christmas now. But I’ll get over it. I’m going to go run some errands on my snowless snow day. I hope you all enjoy your snowless day whether it’s a snow day or not.
