“Revival (Love Is Everywhere)” is a 1970 song by the Allman Brothers Band. It was written by one of their guitarists, Dicky Betts, and Greg Allman takes the lead vocal. The first verse goes:

People can you feel it
Love is everywhere
People can you hear it
The song is in the air
We’re in a revolution
Don’t you know we’re right
Everyone is singing
There’ll be no one to fight

After that, the lyrics repeat the first two lines over and over.

The music is simply happy. It has a gospel feel. It makes a joyful noise.

It’s unusual in that it’s a song about love, but it isn’t a love song. There is no object of the love it’s talking about. The love is everywhere. As someone without a Valentine this year, I can really appreciate that.
