Every year since Nutmegger Daily started, I’ve challenged myself to put up at least one post a day for the month of December. And I’ve done it every year. It’s become something of a holiday tradition.
I haven’t been posting much at all lately. There are a variety of reasons for that. The primary reason is my new job. It’s colonized a lot of my personal time. The secondary reason is that my depression has been hitting pretty hard lately. There are other reasons, but those are the main ones.
There are also two main reasons why I really want to do this. The first is that I need to practice to keep my skills up. Let’s face it, I’m not as good a writer as I was a year ago. And that bugs me. The second is that I think it will be good for me. It’ll give me something besides work to think about and look forward to each day.
Anyway, I’m determined to keep the tradition alive and post at least one piece every day in the month of December. It won’t be easy. I’ll probably need some help. If you have any topic ideas, drop them in the comments. That would help a lot.
